Getting the original equipment, after buying a number of fakes, provided the impetus. He arranged for a back-up, excited by the prospect of never having to anymore risk injury to his person, as had
been the case. But the addition was never used. By the time he remembered over two years later to try the machine, it was unusable. Not even a tested technician could salvage it. Despite the attraction
of planning for a future possibility, the alternative turned out to be worthless.

There is no real substitute for the Almighty deliverer.
