With nowhere to turn for succour, and prospects for any lifeline dimmed by a pandemic not foretold, he listened to another bemoan his woes and how incapacitated he had become. Then he heard a phrase directed at the despondent, and it struck him as a word in season for him. Months later, his despair had turned to the testimony of one who heard God use the unusual – to give him a new song.
