SON SHINE 893: UNLIKELY

She didn’t apply, uninterested in what represented an impossible career leap. The favoured candidate had been assured of a walkover. Then some voices nudged her, with assurances of her potential, just before the deadline for entries. Reluctantly, she shifted ground, and secured the prestigious position, and a juicy package. Three years earlier, she had received a word of prophecy, which she apparently didn’t consider feasible.
