They looked relaxed, unfrazzled by the hassles of the city centre. The fares had doubled, but that did not dent the buzz at the check-n counters and the lounge. The aircraft was filled to capacity, and not one of them looked like they borrowed to hitch the ride. As the aeroplane winged its way through calm weather, it was obvious that these ones, far from being the victims of an economy others mourned, appeared to be living permanently in an atmosphere of fiction.
