The resort at the centre of the business district, though looking fairly empty that midnight, offered the comfort of a four-star hotel. But on this day, a seal at the gate and markings on the wall, announced a slide in fortune: the facility was in receivership, over unpaid debt. A view from the street showed gaping holes, and windows being dismantled. A chapter was being closed.
