SON SHINE 1011: AIDED

Age had slowed the pace of this rich and influential patriarch, and his entourage followed gingerly. His glazed look spoke of one who had seen it all and had no obvious interest in anything around him beyond trying to relive a lifestyle his body could not quite sustain. He had to be helped to sit or stand. It was apparent that he only succumbed to the human weakness of not wanting to die, uncertain of what that future held. Fame and fortune still had some attraction, but he was no more hearing the accolade of men.

“And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.”  Isaiah 46:4 (King James Bible)    

In a matter of years, the priorities will change
