My shirt was dripping sweat as I stepped into the church compound after the two kilometers walk from home, when he glided his car to a stop just behind. Sensing why we had to walk, he immediately offered to take us from home for the 7a.m Sunday meeting from that day, and alternated with another family for the return trip weekly, till we left the church years later.
