SON SHINE 788: WINNER
It was her moment of glory, as she barely sat after a call, before another was made. Her mother, overwhelmed, smiling, sweating and pumping hands along the aisle, shared the excitement with her last child. The hall was packed, with parents and colourfully dressed guests repeatedly applauding. Some other awardees punctuated the rhythm of the star attraction, but the day belonged to her. Although she was effusive, extolling her mother’s love, when it was time to speak, climaxing in a hug, it all still revolved around her taking responsibility.
