The attempt to ensure that all the equipment worked, got the threesome quite busy. As one of them tried to sort some details in need of attention, the phone in the zipped bag he held rang, but it was the owner who was some distance away, that heard the ringing. Distance was no barrier to hearing a ring tone that had become a part of his daily life.
