The child hesitated, watching intently from the car he clung to, as the stranger teased him with questions he didn’t want to answer. The sister was forthcoming, and smiled when invited to get some money. The bait was the prompt, as the boy rushed to the same person he wasn’t sure could be trusted. Now smiling and trying some drama, he attempted to receive what his sister now offered him, till he got his. He was not too young to know why adults kill and maim to have a piece of mammon.
